Rashtriya Vidvat Goshti

From January 21-24, a "Rashtriya vidvat goshti" ("national conference of traditional vedic/sanskrit scholars") was held at the Purnaprajna Vidyapith (Sanskrit College run by the Madhva Sampradaya, and specifically the Pejawar Math of Udupi, Karnataka), Bangalore.Basu Ghosh Das at Rashtriya Shastrartha Goshti @ Purnaprajna Vidyapith: Basu Ghosh Das - Right

Basu Ghosh Das, Chairman of the Samprajna Institute, along with Acharya Samskritananda Hari, and Bharatarama Das, a volunteer who subsequently worked for a number of days on the Dialectical Spiritualism Project, attended the conference.

Traditional subject matters of vedic knowledge were presented and discussed by the attending scholars. Nyaya (traditional logic),
Vedanta (Vedic epistemology), Vyakaranam (samskrita grammar), were some of the subject matters touched in the discussions.

Basu Ghosh Das and Bharatarama Das passed out papers to various attending scholars about the Dialectical Spiritualism Project, and
since then have been maintaing contact with several of the scholars they met at the conference.

The conference was inaugurated by HH Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji of the Pejawar Math, Udupi, and Karnataka Home Minister Sri V.S. Acharya, who hails from the Udupi area.
